Coming Together to Heal

A different topic is addressed each week, focused on coping skills, self-care, stability and tools for managing emotions. If you are a woman who is beginning to work on trauma or abuse, this psychoeducational group is designed to support your individual therapy. Group participants will gain a greater understanding of trauma, its psychological aftermath, and the process of recovery.

As a result of your experience in this group, you are likely to feel less isolated and achieve a greater sense of self-compassion. Participants can look forward to gaining a greater capacity to reclaim their life. In signing up for this Group, you are committing to attending all 10 sessions. 

If you've experienced trauma in your life, you are not alone. As an adjunct to your individual counseling, this weekly group session with Dr. Altman offers the unique benefits that only come from a supportive group setting. This group is for individuals who have achieved some control over symptoms and are doing some trauma-focused work in individual therapy. Each weekly group session is structured to focus on your individual goal in order to decrease the impact of past trauma on your current life. Experience interpersonal healing and develop increased compassion for yourself and for one another. In signing up for this Group, you are committing to attending all 16 sessions.
